Nikki Sixx is back! Sixx:A.M. is Nikki’s new band and they have released their debut album a couple of months ago. Nikki Sixx is known as bass player of Mötley Crüe, the well-known glam rock band in 80’s. Sixx:A.M. plays heavy metal, and I must say it sounds good for me. Comeback of Mötley Crüe was not very impressive and I did not like the new songs so much, but Sixx:A.M. sets me on fire. I heard “Life Is Beautiful” in radio and I was a bit amazed when they said it was Nikki Sixx’s new band. It sounds so different from Mötley Crüe.
Check out this music video. I find it pretty good as well.

Trivium, that fantastic American metal band, plays damn good music. Trivium used to be a metalcore band but has changed their style towards trash metal. Trivium was founded 2000 and it has quickly became known worldwide. They have played alongside with many big bands, such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Machine Head. They have also toured with Children Of Bodom, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy and In Flames.
Trivium is definately worth of listening. It just sounds good. Here’s their music video for the song “Dying In Your Arms”.

Kamelot’s (American power metal band) March Of Mephisto is a great metal song for sure. Strong guitar riffs together with march drums sounds a perfect start. The song continues with clear vocals until the beginning of growls of Sagrath. There is a slower part in the middle of the song after which the song continues interesting untill the end.
Nightwish states on their website that they have reached the top of German album list. In fact Nightwish has climbed to the top of Finnish, German and Swiss album lists with their latest album Dark Passion Play. The album was released just a while ago, so this indicates high selling for the album. Congrats Nightwish!
I never get bored with the drums and guitar riffs of In Flames. This “Take This Life” is a great combination of interesting rythm, strong guitar riffs as well as screaming and clear vocals. In Flames continues the good work.
I must say In Flames is a band that has been the most impressive crew lately. Swedish metal scene is rising, there are many good bands in our neighbouring country today. In Flames plays melodic death metal and I keep on banging my head. The band was founded 1990 when Jesper Strömblad wanted to create new kind of music. Their first album “Lunar Strain” became a underground success. Their world-wide succes began with the album The Jester Race.
In Flames has played with big names such as Dream Theater, Linkin Park, Soulfly, Slayer and Testament. This has helped the band to get great attention. Now the latest album “Come Clarity” has sold well in Scandinavia and North-America.
This world is strage. There are so weird bands out there. It just keeps me wondering..
Korpiklaani is one of those bands that make me either laugh or cry. Don’t know, but I gotta say their videos are at least funny. I am not a fan of this kind of music and I know there are fans out there, some even fanatic, and I respect all your flavours. This is not my type of music. Man look at that guy with a violin. That’s a funny technique to play a violin.
