A Band Visiting Your Home - Who Would You Like to Meet at Home

Back in 1983-1984 I used to dream of bands visiting my home. I was about nine years old kid and I was a big fan of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and other big names of those days. Oh yes, I was a fan of Motley Crue as well, if you wonder me having a glam rock band in the list. I used to listen to glam rock as well, and bands like Motley Crue and trivium.jpgHanoi Rocks were my favorites.

For some reason I clearly remember dreaming of bands visiting my home. I remember how I dreamed of having the dudes of Motley Crue in our living room, talking with me and my parents. Holy shit, what an absurd dream. Just imagine Tommy Lee talking with my mother, Vince Neil trying to steal my father’s whiskey bottles, Mick Mars asking for heroin and Nikki Sixx playing computer games with me. Heh heh.. all right. I was a kid and I did not realize that those guys would not sit a minute in our house talking with a redneck kid and his old parents. Instead they would have got wasted in our local bar and probably beaten up and stabbed by local jerks. Anyhow, I was a kid living in the middle of nowhere and eager to meet my idols.

Now as I am over 30 years old and still a 100% metalhead, I just wonder why I didn’t dream of meeting the guys of Iron Maiden or Judas Priest instead of Motley Crue ?. If I could get the chance of meeting a band at my home, who would I like to meet? Wow, this is a difficult question. There are too many good bands and interesting persons. Would I like to meet the biggest trash metal stars, Metallica, at my home? Well, not sure. I cannot stand Lars Ulrich. How about meeting Arch Enemy and Angela Gossow? Oh yes, that would be nice because I’m a huge fan of Arch Enemy. Anyhow, I still feel like Arch Enemy is not the best choice. Would it be nice to meet a band I used to listen in the early 80’s? How about Iron Maiden? Well, I think I could not stand hyper-active Bruce Dickinson. How about Dio? No way, he would scare my kids dead with his ugly face and sword.

This is way too difficult. There are many bands and only one should be named. I need to decide. Who would I like to meet at my home? Well, I would like to meet Trivium. Yes! That’s the band I would like to meet at home. Not because of their personalities, but because of their music. I would ask them play live at my home. I would call all my metalhead friends, buy all the beer from our local shop and enjoy Trivium playing live, only for us. Hey, that would be great! Hold on! How much would it cost?

No money, gotta forget the whole fu*** idea.
