We say this because the maggots have such strong connections to the band, and with that dramatic of a change some of the fans may not apreciate the difference. For example, with Metallica, when they made one of their albums some of their fans did not respnd to it the same because it was a difference in the change of their music. The fans did not agree because they were not used to the "new" Metallica. it is related in a manner to the new masks, bescause their maggots have such strong passion and love for them that the fans could easily take all of that love that they have for slipknot and turn it into a very strong dislike. So, what we are saying is that the fans may not appreciate the decision that the band is going to make. Some of the reasons that we say this is because we ourselves see the change that it is going to make, from the point of veiw of the fans. I could be wrong and perhaps I just never paid much attention. I should know this but I'm not sure. I listenend to it for about a year straight when it came out. In my opinion every new Slipknot record has evolved better each time. We'll see what this one brings us. I'll see them for the first time August 1st.
