Trivium, Arch Enemy, Machine Head and Dragonforce Will Play in Helsinki

Tomorrow rocks! It will be the heaviest Friday tomorrow in Hellsinki! Four awesome bands are coming to play here in my city. Yeah, it is going to be cool, but you know what? I have got no ticket! No kidding, I do not have the ticket and they are sold out. For some reason I missed the whole show totally. It is funny that I just discussed about those bands with Shaun in comments of my previous articles related to Bullet For My Valentine gig and Bullet For My Valentine album. Soon after our discussion I heard that those bands are coming to Helsinki. Too late.

Well, this is not the first time I miss a good gig, and it is not that dramatic. Life goes on :)

Those bands going to play in Helsinki are just awesome. I really enjoy them. Arch Enemy has released a new album this year, Rise Of The Tyrant. It is a stunning album. If you enjoy melodic death metal and you do not have that album yet, go and get it. You won’t be dissapointed. Here is a sample for you.

You can order the album here:

Arch Enemy is definitely one cool band. Trivium is another one. I heard about them a couple of years ago and since then it has been one of my favourites. Trivium quickly climbed to the top of metal music industry and gained a huge attention. No wonder why, they make damn good music. Check out this sample.

Ok, I said that it is not so dramatic if I miss this show. Right. In fact it is! This is really a special kind of show because there are four amazing bands at the same time. It is definitely the best show in Helsinki this year!

Angela Gossow From Arch Enemy Takes Vocal Lesson From Melissa Cross

Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy takes a vocal lesson from Melissa Cross in the video below. In my previous post I said I was looking for information on how Angela produces her voice and this video opens it up a little. Growls without any music sounds a bit funny :) Anyhow, I would like to do it as good as Angela. My voice is clear tenor and I truely suck with growls. Man it sounds stupid when I try growls..

For more Arch Enemy, check out my post My Apocalypse.

Have a nice weekend. Drink some booze, listen to good metal music and enjoy you life. I’m gonna take it relaxed and try some growl techniques..

Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) Interview

Here’s a pretty good, but short, interview of Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy. In fact this is a clip from Headbanger’s Journey. I wanted to understand the technique Angela produces her growl voice. This was video was not exactly what I was looking for but I decided to post this one because in this one Angela says few words about how she feels singing in death metal band. The main point clearly seems to be the powerful feeling related to singing this stuff. I have no doubt.

Arch Enemy - My Apocalypse

Hate and anger, those two feelings dominating my life. Rage and furious anger, a ticking timebomb. I see them in a mirror. Strange hunger to destroy, violent thoughts. I’m a beast.

Arch Enemy, in my list of top ten metal bands.

Arch Enemy - We Will Rise

Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy is a different female vocalist. She’s able to growl strong. She sounds brutal, satanic and evil. She is the diamond on top of the pyramid of Arch Enemy. Man this song is great, one of my favourites. This band plays metal music so good and this metal video is just awesome. This metal video is great, but check out also my previous Arch Enemy post!

Arch Enemy - Nemesis

Life is full of joy and hatred. One day you feel like you are such a stable and humble man, you feel joy. Next day you’re the beast with devil’s eyes, ready to smash and kill. You feel hatred. You are filled with it. You’re a ticking time bomb. On those days I need some medicin. No, not those pills, no way man. I need music, I need death metal. I need Arch Enemy! It’s my medicin on those days.

This blog is about my passion to metal music.
