Bullet For My Valentine Has Released a New Official Video - Hearts Burst Into Fire

bullet1.jpgI just read in my MySpace news feed that Bullet For My Valentine has released a new official video. I had to check it out immediately. The previous video Bullet released was their Scream, Aim, Fire, which is pretty much heavier than their earlier material. This new, Hearts Burst Into Fire sounds is slower and starts with a damn good guitar playing. After a while it continues as a kind of a harder ballad. Not bad! I like it! It’s a damn good song, well made and sounds good. I really Enjoy the guitars and vocals in Hearts Burst Into Fire. Oh, and the video itself is nice as well. Fans must like it. The video shows the guys of Bullet For My Valentine on tour, hanging around, sleeping in their gig bus, writing autographs, playing their instruments.. and even sitting in SAUNA! Good, good, good.. Good stuff from this skyrocketing metalcore band!

Some other news. Blabbermouth writes that according to Meshuggah guitarist says ‘Chicks That Are Into Math Aren’t Into The Type Of Music We Play‘. HAH! What’s that? Let’s find out..

The dudes of Meshuggah were interviewed by Metal Maniacs magazine and the interview has been published in the latest issue. Tomas Haake, the drummer, says he has long periods when he does not play the drums at all. Even though he has no practice routines, he is considered as one of the best drummers in the world. Yeah, Tomas is a virtuoso.

Mårten Hagström says that he never grows tired of the feeling he gets on stage. Even though there is a lot of hassle and things to do, being on stage in front of people is great. “We’re just anxious to get out on the road“, says Hagström. So why ladies who are into math don’t like Meshuggah? Mårten Hagström says “After the show, I take a shower, grab a couple beers, go back to the bus and play videogames. I’m not the party guy, but I guess the chicks that are into math aren’t into the type of music we play anyway. It doesn’t mix”. Yeah, I can imagine that.

That’s about Meshuggah. Now the new official video from Bullet For My Valentine!

Bullet For My Valentine New Album “Scream, Aim, Fire” Heavier and More Furious

bullet1.jpgThe metalcore pride of Wales, Bullet For My Valentine, has released their new album Scream, Aim, Fire. In the new album Bullet For My Valentine shows their honor to old-school metal music pioneers. Finnish “IndieRockPunkMetalzine” magazine Sue published an interview of Bullet For My Valentine in their latest magazine. This article refers to this interview done by Sue.

The pride of Wales, Bullet For My Valentine, was founded in 1998. First they were known as Jeff Killed John and they played Limp Bizkit-, Metallica-, and Nirvana-covers. Influences the band has got from Metallica, Machine Head, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Pantera, Slayer, Testament and Judas Priest. Interesting detail is that influences come from trash bands while Bullet For My Valentine plays metalcore. Anyhow, Bullet For My Valentine released their debut album Poison in 2005, which sold 350.000 pieces in United States and more than one million pieces worldwide. One thing is clear. Bullet For My Valentine has quickly climbed to the top of metalcore scene and is one of the hot names in metal music industry.

bullet3.jpgOur sound has not changed radically, but it has been tuned“, says guitarist Padge. “We have developed as musicians and those progressive things were born because of that. We did not want to provide only the same old stuff for our fans, but with something new added“, continues Padge. “Good old and traditional metal music has always been in our hearts. We still prefer listening to old-school metal bands. Very many timeless albums were released in the 80’s“, says guitarist Padge. According to singer Matthew Tuck the new material is more furious. “It is about attitude“, says Tuck. “We wanted to create a heavier album. We added tempo and attitude“, continues Tuck.

Metalcore is one of those music genres that divide fans into different camps. New and younger metalheads have warmly welcomed metalcore bands, while old-school headbangers are a little bit suspicious with the new genre. No matter what people say, Bullet For My Valentine has its fans and they sell a lot of albums. Fans are happy and so is the band. May be metalcore is for the masses, while old school trash metal, such as Pantera, will never reach huge masses. The reason why Metallica become the best known metal band in the world is that they radically changed their style, entered the mass media and by this were able to reach huge amounts of new fans.

bullet4.jpgBullet For My Valentine has been able to tour with big names, such as Metallica. When Sue asked guitarist Padge that with which band they have had the best tour, the answer is Metallica. “When we toured with Iron Maiden, we realized that the audience is furious warm-up bands. They did not give us a chance. With Metallica it was a great honor to play because we have been their great fans for long time“, says Padge.

Next Bullet For My Valentine is starting their new tour. Sue asked the band that what a Bullet For My Valentine “All Star” tour would look like. The answer was that there would be at least Arch Enemy, Children Of Bodom, Lamb Of God.. and may be Metallica. Wow! Now that would be a tour I would love to see. Gimme a bottle of Jack Daniels and a ticket to this tour! Rock!

Bullet For My Valentine Coming To Play In Helsinki

Just few days ago I discussed with Shaun about Bullet For My Valentine. I said in comments that I would like to see Bullet For My Valentine live, and now this might happen. Bullet For My Valentine is coming ot Helsinki on February 2008. Bullet was here in Finland on 2006, but I missed them because I lived abroad on those days. This Brittish band is now going to play in Helsinki on 22nd. of February. Tickets are just 22 euros. Man, I think I will be there, if I just can find a ticket..

As I mentioned in my previous Bullet blog post, the band is going to release their new album in the beginning of 2008. You can download one of the new songs, called Scream, Aim, Fire in their myspace website. They say their music will be heavier than today, which sounds just good for me. So, instead of playing metalcore, Bullet For My Valentine focuses now in trash metal.

Here’s one of the best songs from Bulet For My Valentine.
