Loading ...I have been listening to 80’s trash metal lately, just because I wrote about Metallica’s Black Album. 80’s trash metal reminds me those good old, glorious days of heavy metal when rock stars were rock stars, not ordinary men. Heh.. you might have heard this same from Gene Simmons when he was interviewed by Henry Rollins. I agree with Gene Simmons, in the 80’s rock stars were real. Today they have become more like ordinary dudes. For more Gene Simmons and Henry Rollins, you should see thew interview from 2006 or something.
While listening to 80’s trash metal bands, such as Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth, I suddenly found Celtic Frost. I have not heard them for a while and it was a great pleasure to rediscover them. Celtic Frost was one of those early pioneers of trash metal, founded by Swiss Tom Gabriel Fischer. The band did a comeback few years ago and they have released also new albums. Their latest album includes this great track called A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh. This track is more like doom metal than trash, but the band still has their amazing cruel and brutal touch.
