Let’s take a step outside metal scene today. Which band has the most stupid name ever? Well, answers are many, but I would say Turbonegro is one of those band. Think about it. Turbonegro. What does it say, what does it mean? I say it definitely belongs to the category of most stupid band names ever. Now, Turbonegro fans, please hold your horses. Don’t take this seriously, because now comes the part you guys like.
I like Turbonegro. Why? Check out the video below, Turbonegro - Fuck The World. Even though I am fanatic with metal, I like this band. These guys have got balls and attitude. How abouttheir music? Yep, they rock. I like this band because they are damn good at utilizing various elements of music in their death punk (invented by the band!) material. Listen to Fuck The World in which they nicely combine symphonic elements with hard rock. They are really awesome.
Did you know that Turbonegro also considered Nazipenis for their name? They were told that with that name they would sell zero records, and therefore Turbonegro was chosen. Turbonegro has several fanclubs which are called Turbojugend. You probably can see some Hitler parody in the name of the fanclubs. Turbonegro has also worked with Bam Margera and MTV’s Wildboyz. You probably have heard “All My Friends Are Dead” in Bam Margera’s Viva La Bam TV shows. That is Turbonegro’s song.
